Rent maserati dubai and revel in the fact that you drive in an ancient land that has been reinvigorated to the modern.
Little is known about the early history of Dubai as only a few stone tools have ever been found in the area. Ancient towns tended to be trading centres between the west and the east and to show the changing of climate over the millenia there used to be a mangrove swamp dating back as far as 7000 BC.
3rd and 4th century BC pre-Islamic pottery has been found and the Sasanian Empire from Persia controlled the region back then until the coming of Islam. Dubai itself was mentioned in 1095 by the Andalusian geographer Abu Abdullah al-Bakri. In 1550 a Venetian Pearl merchant mentioned ‘Dibei’ as a place for pearls.
Rent maserati dubai today and see for yourself all the history that this ancient Emirate has to offer. Dubai was finally recognised in 1833. Founded by Sheikh Maktoum bin Butti Al-Maktoum, he persuaded his tribe (the Bani Yas) to settle in the area of Dubai Creek that later became Dubai proper. Dubai was known as Al Wasl in British Documents from the 1820′s but little else remains as the whole regions traditions and folklore were never written down.
There are several theories as to where the name Dubai comes from. Some say it has come from a woman called Dabya, another from the word for money as people from the area were believed to be rich due to its trading. Another theory says that Dubai is named after the creek and from the Arabic word Daba meaning ‘creep’, as the creek itself had a slow flow inland (hence creep). Another idea is that its named after the locusts that were widespread in the area before the settlement began.
The Bani Yas tribe remained in control in 1892 when the British Empire agreed to protect it and also when it became part of the United Arab Emirates in 1971.
Rent maserati dubai and you simply will not be disappointed, for this place is a true mix of ancient history and innovative futurism.
